Safety and Best Practices
YourTable and safety
While most of the new connections made through YourTable are positive and done in a public restaurant, it is always important to be aware and to follow safety tips when meeting with new people.
We recommend taking the following safety tips when connecting with new people through YourTable:
Do not give out personal or banking information over the Internet. (e.g. phone number, social insurance number, bank account...etc)
When meeting someone in-person, always let a friend, co-worker, or family member know where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.
When meeting someone in person, choose a public restaurant.
Carry a mobile phone with you in case of emergencies.
Let YourTable know of any attempted fraud, deception, harassment and any other negative experience or illegal behaviour by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org
