YourTable Community Guidelines

Our rules are simple: be kind, honest, and respectful to others. Everybody should feel safe and comfortable when using YourTable to Eat and Network together. 

 

While you can't control the actions of others, there are still things you can do to stay safe and promote a positive environment.

Be kind, polite, honest, and respectful.

Being kind, polite, honest, and respectful to others helps build trust and keeps YourTable community positive and welcoming for all users. Avoid using language that is rude or promotes violence. Treat everyone like how you want to be treated.

Protect your information and others.

Don’t publicly broadcast any private information, yours or anyone else’s. Never share any information like bank account details or credit card numbers with others online. This includes social security numbers, passports, passwords, financial information or unlisted contact information, such as phone numbers, email addresses, home/work addresses.

Protect your Account information

Never share any of your account information with others. Your account is not meant to be shared, but for your own use only. Additionally, please don’t maintain multiple YourTable accounts. One Person, One Account.

Don’t click any links from anyone

Do not click any links from other users, as it may harm your phone and steal sensitive information.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the following:

Illegal Usage

Don’t use YourTable to do anything illegal. Period.

Violence and Physical Harm

Promoting any form of Violent and Physical Harm content is strictly prohibited. We do not tolerate violent, graphic, or gory content on YourTable, or any actions or content that advocate for or threaten violence of any sort, including threatening or promoting terrorism. Physical assault, coercion, and any acts of violence are strictly prohibited.

Content that advocates for or glorifies suicide or self-harm are also not allowed. In these situations, we may take a number of steps to assist the user, including reaching out with crisis resources.

Discrimination, Racism, Hate Speech

Any content that promotes, advocates for, or condones racism, bigotry, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on factors like (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, disability, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity is not allowed.

Harassment, Threats, Offensive Content, Sexual Content

Do not engage, or encourage others to engage, in any targeted abuse or harassment against any other user. This includes sending any unsolicited sexual content to your matches. Sharing any form of sexual/pornographic content is strictly prohibited. Reports of stalking, threats, bullying, or intimidation, are taken very seriously.

 

Any form of Fraud/Scam

YourTable has a zero-tolerance policy on predatory behaviour of any kind. Anyone attempting to get other users’ private information for fraudulent or illegal activity will be banned. Any user caught sharing their own financial account information (PayPal, Venmo, etc.) for the purpose of receiving money from other users may also be banned from YourTable.

 

Impersonation

Be yourself! Don’t pretend to be someone else.

Do not impersonate, or otherwise misrepresent affiliation, connection or association with, any person or entity.

 

Underage Users

You have to be at least 19 years old to use YourTable. We don’t want minors on YourTable. Period. 

 

REPORT ALL BAD BEHAVIOUR

We encourage you to report any concerns you may have from the content of other users’ profiles, or the chat you have with others. On the app, You can report a user for bad behaviour, and block them completely.

YourTable reserves the right to investigate and/or terminate your account if you have misused the Service or behaved in a way that YourTable regards as inappropriate, unlawful, or in violation of the Terms of Use, including actions or communications that occur off the Service but involve users you meet through the Service. YourTable reserve the right to use our own judgment and update our community guidelines as necessary.
